Stage 1 Fun Fitness Friday

Last Friday, students in Years 1 and 2 participated in Fun Fitness Friday. With the rain teaming down the night before, it was touch and go if this event would go ahead. Luckily it was a lovely day, and the students had a great time in ANZAC Park. Thanks to Mrs Ward and the Stage 1 teachers for organising.

Kindy Visit Marsupial Park

On Monday, Kindergarten students headed up the hill to Marsupial Park for a fun day of learning and exploring. As well as exploring the area and seeing all the animals, the Kindy students were lucky enough to have a talk from Len Waters around the Indigenous sights and artifacts of the area. Thank you to Mrs Rodgers and the Kindy team for providing such an excellent opportunity for the Kindy kids.

Newcastle Permanent Maths Competition

Students in Years 5 and 6 recently completed the Newcastle Permanent Primary Schools Mathematics Competition. Congratulations to Ethan Jackson, who received an award from Newcastle Permanent. Ethan is invited to an Awards Ceremony today to celebrate his achievement.

Boys Cricket Success

On Monday, the Tamworth Public School Boys Cricket team headed to Guyra for the next round of the NSW PSSA Cricket Knockout. The boys started well, scoring 4/137. Guyra then went into bat to reach 8/77 at the end of their innings. Well done to Mr Bowd and the boys who have now made it into the North West Final.

Thank you for a Great Term

I would like to take the opportunity to thank the school community for all the support the students and staff have received in Term 3. It has been a busy term with things back to normal and the first full Term 3 of learning since 2019. A reminder that students start back in Term 4 on Monday, 10 October. Safe travels for those heading away, and we look forward to a great last Term of the year.
