Welcome to Term 4

Welcome back to the last term of 2024. I hope everyone had a nice break. Term 4 is a very busy, exciting term with a number of events and activities for students, staff and the community to be involved in.

Indigenous Experience Days

This week Kindy, Year 1 and Year 2 students have had the opportunity to be involved in Indigenous Experience Workshops run by Tamworth Opportunity Hub. Students were immersed in art lessons and cultural activities, producing some great work and discussions. Thank you to the Opportunity Hub and Mrs Palmer for organising.

Week 2 Sporting Events

Next week we have a number of major sporting events taking place. On Monday the TPS Girls Cricket Team take on Narrabri in the North West final. Also on Monday the TPS Girls Hockey Team head to Newcastle to participate in the NSW Knock Out state semi-final and finals. On Tuesday we have 3 Tennis Teams from Years 3-6 heading to Gunnedah for the North West Todd Woodbridge Tennis competition. On Wednesday and Thursday a number of our students are heading to Sydney for the State Athletics Championships. Good luck to all our competitors and a huge thank you to staff and parents for their organisation and support.

Presentation Day 2024

The Tamworth Public Schools' Annual Presentation Day will be held on Wednesday 4 December at TRECC. This is a great event showcasing the achievements of our students and school throughout the year. Students who have received a Principals Award of Excellence will also receive their medallion at the event. More information will be communicated later in the term.

Students arriving early

Tamworth Public Schools' playground is not supervised until 8:30 am by staff. Recently, we have had students arriving very early, some before 8 am. Please do not drop students off early to school. If you need to have them supervised, please contact OOSH Before School Care and organise drop-off with them.
