FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK
Term 2 Wrap
Term 2 has been another busy time for Tamworth Public School and we couldn't be prouder of our students and the growth they have made both academically and socially this term. Whether on the sporting field, on stage at the Eisteddfod, presenting speeches as part of Multicultural Perspectives, spelling some challenging words at the Spelling Bee, exhibiting art or dancing at NAIDOC Week, our students have excelled in so many ways. A huge thank you to our staff who provide countless opportunities for our students and to our parents/carers who support us to do what we do. We hope everyone has a restful, relaxing and safe holiday period, ready to return for a tremendous Term 3.
NAIDOC Assembly
A massive thank you to our community that turned up to celebrate NAIDOC Week with our school on Monday. It was a beautiful celebration of a beautiful culture and we couldn't be prouder of our students and their involvement in the assembly. Please check out the great slideshow on Class Dojo for some photos of the event. Special thanks to Mackenzie Browning-Sampson (TPS Aboriginal Education Officer) and Sandy Palmer for their coordination of this event.
Student Absence Notifications
When your child is absent from school, the school is required to document the reason for their absence.
As required, the school will send out a notification of your child's absence requesting an explanation for leave. Please complete this ASAP using the School Bytes platform or alternatively, you can contact the school office on 67662016 or send the school an email. Please DO NOT send your child's classroom teacher a message on Class Dojo regarding the absence. Absences need to be communicated through the office.
Reports
Student reports were delivered via the School Bytes Parent Portal yesterday afternoon. Please see Class Dojo for detailed instructions on how to access/download your child's/children's report. EAL/D reports completed by Mrs Palmer were also pushed out via the Parent Portal. If you have any issues, please don't hesitate to contact the school so we can support.
