Tamworth Public School has again won many awards and accolades through our entries in the creative arts categories of the Tamworth Show. For the tenth consecutive year the school has been named Champion School, with the trophy taking up residence again in the school foyer. In the School Arts category Abigail Harris from Year six was awarded Champion School Art for the primary section. Charlie Ferguson from Year one was the Infants Champion for the same category. Also in School Arts, Aleeci Francis of Year six and Schuyler Van Tilburg from Year one received Special Awards for their entries. In the Handicrafts category, our kindergarten entries were so good that the judges awarded the Champions sash to the whole group. In the same category Abigail Carr from Year six was the highest point scorer for under 12 year olds. Tamworth Public School has supported the Tamworth Show over many, many years as we know it is a wonderful opportunity for our boys and girls to show their skills and to display their creations. Congratulations to all our entrants, and to the staff who supported them. Special mention goes to Miss Mack for once again coordinating our entries and promoting the value of creative arts as integral to a quality education.
